Margie was the Director of the W.H. Bryan Mining and Geology Research Centre (BRC), one of the Centres that make up the Sustainable Minerals Institute. As Director, she oversees the three research programs at BRC: deep earth mining, mine process optimisation, and orebody-driven decision science. These research programs are focused on reducing geological and mining risk and optimising mine practice. Read more
Marcelo is a Mining Engineer who specialises in resource development, resource estimation and strategic mine planning. He completed his PhD through the W.H. Bryan Mining and Geology Research Centre (BRC) in 2002.
João is a Researcher and Associate Professor of Mining Engineering at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil. He completed his PhD at the W.H. Bryan Mining and Geology Research Centre (BRC) in 1997.
Ian Brunton is a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Itasca Australia Pty. He completed his PhD at the W.H. Bryan Mining and Geology Research Centre (BRC) in 2009.
Hector is the Global technical Solutions Manage, Latin America at Davey Bickford. He completed his PhD at the W.H. Bryan Mining and Geology Research Centre (BRC) in September 2013.
Alex Catalan is an Expert Geotechnical Engineer at Antofagasta Minerals- AMSA. He completed his PhD at the W.H. Bryan Mining and Geology Research Centre (BRC) in February 2015.
